His impressive career includes notable roles such as Vice President of Engineering at VidSys Inc, Lucent Technologies, and Springtide Networks, as well as Director of Network Management at 3Com Corporation.

During his tenure at VidSys, Dave spearheaded the development and delivery of the industry's pioneering Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) solution. This groundbreaking system seamlessly integrated various physical security devices—ranging from access control and video surveillance to RFID and building management systems—into a unified, intelligent security platform. The solution, deployed in major cities worldwide and Fortune 500 enterprises, provided real-time situational awareness, management, and security policy enforcement.

Dave’s approach to technical challenges is pragmatic yet innovative, balancing cutting-edge technologies with elegant solutions tailored to address specific customer needs. He thrives on collaboration between customers and partners and leverages collective expertise to achieve successful outcomes to his clients' biggest challenges.

Prior to joining BlackBear Labs, Dave maintained a decade-long partnership with the company, where he was continuously drawn to BlackBear Labs’ ethos of prioritizing relationships with all stakeholders, whether clients, partners, or competitors.

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has also served on the board of the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA). A sought-after industry expert, he has shared his insights at numerous conferences and end-user groups, further solidifying his reputation as a thought leader in the field.
